"emptyofwhat" is the avatar of Todd Geist

I am a computer geek and consultant. I have spent the last 15 years building everything from websites to accounting software.

My first career was in medical research. I spent seven years working at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis.  I worked with some great professors and  was lucky enough to co-author several papers with them during my time there. 

Although I have been getting into lots of different computer languages and platforms lately, FileMaker Pro has been my main focus for more than a decade.  I have been a speaker at 5 FileMaker Pro Developers Conferences, and various user groups around the country and in the United Kingdom.

I live in Simi Valley, CA with my wife, Lori.  She is a school teacher and just opened a new Charter School called Bridges Charter School, in Thousand Oaks, Ca.

I also love music, national public radio, and good food.  To counter the "good food", I practice Aikdio, and follow the Crossfit philosophy.
